Subject: Poser Files accessibility? H-E-E-E-L-P ! ! !

Does anyone know ANY way to make Poser files accesible from OUTSIDE of the program itself? I mean actually USABLE, with an open architectural structure? With my burner,I could install tons of stuff on CD's. The linearity and nested file structure of Poser drives me berserk, when I want to pick and choose from a rather sizeable array of Poser goodies in my posession, for a particular idea. Organizing and installing a large number of unzipped files into the normal structure makes the program virtually unusable and totally unmanageable. What can be done? ANYTHING? Or do we just have to suffer? I didn't see anything about this in the manual. Open architecture would definitely be at the top of my list for Poser 5, if they ever design one.

I was actually working on a Poser library management utility, but I've gotten really busy. Hopefully I can finish it soon. I'm open to suggestions as far as features go.

Artnik, there is already a Poser library management utility. It is called P3dO Explorer, available here in freestuff section. It is a mature program with a lot of features. It probably won't fit all the needs you have but most of them. There are also some addon plugins like a Zip Through viewer which actually display the thumbnails from inside the Zips. You should give it a try... and it is free ;)) Yarp
