Poser can confound you with its animation quirks. Basically, it uses as its defaults spline interpolation between keyframes. What that does, if you don't convert to linear interpolation, is take a wide detours between keyframes much of the time. I broke down ($450) & bought Lifeforms Studio to create character motion. They have 750 BVH/motion files plus they are a dedicated character motion program. I spent 40 hours making a 1 minutes lipsynched talking head see http://members.xoom.com/jercady/Poserstuff.html (the 'Bladetalk' Real Player Video). Most time spent undoing unwanted motion caused by wacky splines. It tries too hard to smooth out curves between keyframes. If your time is very important, $450 up front will save you alot of trouble. When you finish your motion choreography in Lifeforms, export it in segments less than 999 frames (Posers max frame limit) as BVH motion files. I found very few Poser users (or any 3D app) seem to do much if any animation. Mostly they do strictly still images. I am out of town for a week, so I can't help you out. Regards, Pack
I know you are working with Poser and 3DS models will probably work best, but at http://www.3dcafe.com/ there are 100s of models. This is a great site I use when I ever need a model for anything. Search for the prop you need. Search under weapons and you will find a HUGE list of weapons. Hopefully it will be in the right format. Good luck. Adam

Hi everybody I'm a French infographist, and I'm using POSER for certain larges scenes of a movie. I'm a new user of Poser, and I need to use it very quickly. I have to make people defending a castle from invasion (using Bow, launching stones on ennemy, etc..) I would like to find the corrects animations on the net (If i don't, I will animate myself) I also need meshs like bow, etc.. please give me your help or some addresses thank you!!
