Subject: Night Time and "Dark Places" Photography!

There have been a few really cool night exposures in the forum lately, and it's something I always loved doing...I was stimulated to trawl through some of my "darker" photos, and I came across two in particular that I thought you might like to see...they are both taken in 'low-light' situations but captured in different ways...

This first one was taken at an outdoor concert ages ago, the ligting was projected up against a reservoir wall. Ricoh KR-10 set on a tripod, probably ASA-400 Fujifilm which was my preferred film for this sort of thing at that time...can't remember my settings but it was probably around a 1 second exposure...

The next one was taken probably a Year later in a tunnel under the Yarra River in Melbourne, same camera and probably ASA 200 or 400 film (I was using faster film a lot then)...I simply steadied the camera on the dashboard! I was quite pleased with the results....once again I can't remember the settings (sorry), and for this one I probably let the camera determine exposure time...

Love the second one most, but both are great

Punky, wasn't the second one a bit dangerous? lol - one of the first few digital pics I took was this way with my Fuji MX1200 - driving along, sticks it up at the windscreen and click - hopefully. (Although when I posted it I said it was taken by a passenger...... tch, we ALL lie sometimes....) (",)
