Taken during one of those power failures. We were utterly bored and so we started playing cards in the dark. So does this qualify for this month's category? (*

I'd say that John cheated if he insisted playing cards in the dark! lol But he's cheating anyways... Hey... that's the way we met... (not playing in the dark! Get yer minds outta the gutter!!! lol) We met playing bridge! Agree with Alpha! Cool picture! Britt

Jordy: Effect??? What effect??? LOL This was taken with the camera propped on my knees while sitting on the floor. f1.4 and opened the shutter for about 2.5 seconds. (He was a fast dealer alright.) Cheap B/W Panchromatic 200 film, hence the grain. Left the hands and the cards on the low table alone, and burned the rest of the pic in Photoshop. Oh, and I won. LOL (*

THAT effect!! The one Punky wants to know about.....lol Well, IMO an effect is anything in a picture that is abnormal to the image seen by the human eye. As you wuoldn't see this in the dark (coz you can't freeze your eyes for that 2.5 secs) I guess this is an effect..... Unless there's something about YOUR eyes that makes this a regular sight, in which case you either need glasses or donating some time to medical research.....TEE HEE!!!! (",) (Actually, when I read this back, it sounded biting and slightly nasty sort of sarcastic - please don't take it that way, I was laughing my head off when I wrote it!!!!)

Jordy, I actually have prescription glasses, only I don't wear them LOL... there are actually times when I see my world in strobe lights and staggered movements. I guess that would mean I really should give more time to medical research LOL... (you are aping my neuroses, Jordy LOL!!!) ;-D BSteph - I play with my friends and their siblings because we all have fast hands LOL!!! Mmmm about the John issue, Brit has to answer that heehee... (*
