Umm.. that's what it says, so technical many of the images in some of the other galleries could be posted there. Since other apps where used to create models, textures, post work ect... That's why personally, I go by the render thing. I would post a pic in mixed media if it were rendered in 2 programs then combined in an image editing program, or if a render was mixed with other images created in paint programs or plug-ins like KPT. But that's just my interpretation.
Well that I would definately agree to. I prefer to view by content rather than application. Posting by application is more for the artist rather than the viewer. A new person coming here to see pictures would not know, or care what created the image, but they are more likely want to browse for content. Okay, you convinced me - I've been kicked out of other application galleries, why not Bryce too :-)
Gee Reed - what sort of thing do you do??? Actually I like the way the galleries are organised by program because I can then see what the program is used for, the best work it creates and maybe get convinced to buy it...and I'm constantly amazed at what I find...cheers, and can't wait to see what images you post!!!
I agree. Organizing images by application is great for artists like you say. That's how I found terragen. But every now and again I want to browse for a particular image style, or content. Let's say 3D Digital Impressionism, or Surreal, or B&W, or Fantasy. That type of browsing is not application specific and I contend this is a non-artists perspective on viewing.
It's interesting, I can post an image here in renderosity and get maybe a couple hundred views in the first couple of weeks, but I get 500 to 600 unique visitors to my website per day. Those web guests are just arriving to view content, and could care less about application I used to create it. Okay, some do ask, and I do post some tech notes, but for the most part, they are casual viewers that arrive through links based on content.
I mumble.
Anyhow, renderosity is a great place for artists, not so friendly for the casual viewer as it stands today. But that's not a complaint, just an observation.

I'm confused. At what point do my post render worked Bryce renders go into multimedia? I don't care one way or the other, but are there guidelines? I see pure renders and heavy post render worked images in the Bryce gallery, yet I thought the post render worked images were to go into the multimedia catagory.
