Subject: Poser Characters

I imported a character(in 3ds format) in Poser 4 , but I don't see any way to add it to my librarie.The + (add) don't show up.What can I do? Please help!!!

Just a guess, but the plus-sign does not appear until after you have selected an object in the scene.

AND there MUST be a figure in the scene... don't select the figure...but one must be there. Just make the figure invisible if you don't want it in the thumbnail image. Don't ask why... that's just the only way it has ever worked for me. :) BillBay BBay.com

I think that an imported 3ds file will only save as a prop, not a figure.

Even if he wants to save a 3DS item as a prop, there must be a figure in the scene. Try it some time... take a empty scene, import a 3DS or obj file and try to save as a prop... no go. Now put any figure in the scene, select the 3DS item and save in the Props library...it should then work.

Bill, I just tried, and it worked for me. Imported a 3DS model, went to Props, clicked the +, named the prop and there it was. No figures in the scene, just the ground (invisible) and the import.

Same here Bill, saving prop with no figure in scene works ok for me. And wyrwulf was right, I missed the part about trying to save the 3DS model as a "Figure" rather than a "Prop".
