Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
Sounds like you are trying to take M1/M2 to M2P4 or V1/V2 to V2P4.
Do it this way:
Spawn your face morph, name it a real name, not shape 1.
Save the character file as a new character.
Open this new CR2 in MM4 (or CR2Edit) (Mac = MC) and open the CR2 where you want it beside it.
Find the morph, right click and Copy. Save your target CR2 and there it is.
Not only can you get V1/V2 morphs to V2P4, but you can get V1/V2 morphs to the Mil Kids the same way.
If you are going to do much of this, you might consider MORdonor poses as an alternate method.
The same face pose file could be used on a base Vic, V2P4, or any of the four Mil Kids - if practice matches theory -
as long as all have the same targetGeom host.
This is not to say that the faces will look good on the Kids. The same holds for body morphs on the Kids, they will transfer, the results they produce depend.
V2P4 is a wash for anything but head morphs.
The point I am trying to make: once you have a morph as deltas, there is no reason to take it to OBJ, unless you want to take it into a modeling prgram for further morphing. If you wish to share it, and it does not break a copyright, copy it into this file: { version { number 4.01 } figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:ZygotePeople:blMilWom.obj actor BODY:1 { { } } actor hip:1 { { } } actor head:1 { channels { } } } Make it a ext file and name it FaceMorph.cr2 Open it in MM4 and copy your morph into it. You can make this a MORdonor, by deleting these lines after you save it with the morph figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:ZygotePeople:blMilWom.obj actor BODY:1 { { } } actor hip:1 { { } } And edit the targetGeom ______ to be one that is in the host cr2 and give it a name FACENAME.fc2 and put it in the face Library. I would also make k 0 0 be k 0 1

I have a character who's face I would like to get onto another character...Now because this character has some unique morph objects, I need to export it as a wavefront OBJ. So when I do this and import it on my other character, it seems to take in effect other variables that make his head 'float' up away from his body and what not. The effects work, but the head moves in some undesirable way that I cant figure out how to fix. I've tried to set the OBJ as a morph target (with no world transformations) but then when I import it the morph has no effect on the character whatsoever. Can anyone help me out? I'd appreciate it! Thanks a bunch ~Brian~
