Subject: First post and Poser to Vue tip

Hi all - this is my first post on this forum though I've been lurking for a few weeks. Just thought I'd pass on a little tip regarding Poser import into Vue I stumbled across. When a Daz poser figure (eg Michael or Victoria) is imported in to Vue it arrives with very dry eyes which tends to hurt the realism of the model in a subtle but important way - the eyes have no highlist and seem flat and lifeless. To correct this I've found a simple fix: open the material summary and locate the material called 'EyeBall' - which is completely blank/invisible. Change this material to 'Standard Glass' from the Glasses material collection and voila - instant realistic eyes. You can also get some interesting exaggerated or other-worldly effects by loading different glass materials in. Loading 'Milk' as the material looks great on zombies and the like!! The standard Poser figures still import with dry eyes but you need to manually adjust the highlights for the various eye materials, unfortunately. Here's a couple of pics by way of example. This is Michael's eyes as imported: eyesimported.jpg and here's Michael's eyes after the fix: eyesadjusted.jpg Cheers K.

Looks good, and it's a good tip. And also, try some things with the refraction index, for special effects. ;)
