Subject: ahhh problem with poser please help!!

i just installed poser 3 on my computer which is running windows xp and worked fine. then i closed it and opened it again and i couldn't see the window where you can view the character to animate him etc. i went to the "windows" tab at the top but everything was checked that needed to be. i tried re-installing. please help i really need this program to work!

Not to sound what may be an obvious question, but did you go to "File --> New" and see if something comes up that way?

The only other thing I can think of is that it somehow moved the character window off your desktop. Try opening with factory defaults, and see if that helps.

I don't have Poser 3. I have Poser 4. Let's hope that your menu choices are the same. If not, maybe you can get an idea what to try. 1.) Click Edit, General Preferences.

2.) Look for options that mention Factory State, and select them. 3.) Click OK. You may need to quit Poser and run it again. Or you may just be able to click File, New.
