Hi! I'm working on my first hair prop for Michael. And hope that someone could give me some tips and critisism on it. Thanks Magnus

Very cool. Can I see a top view? I just want to see how the straight stuff matches in with the pieces up front.

Here it comes, but the texture doesn't look to good from this view and I know I have some more areas in front area in the side view where the texture looks a bit wierd. It's just that I'm not that found of the textureing part. It so much more fun to make the modell then finish it up.

Sorry here it comes!

Id say it was awfully close. The texture needs a little more "stuff" to it to give it that hair-like look, but the prop model itself looks great. If youd like me to take a whack at helping you texturing it, let me know.

I would like that but I'll think I should try to finish it up by my self first. But when I send it to you would you like to have both the obj-file and the texture map, Cause I don't know if I mapped it the best way.

It would be good from a distance, but it does need work for close up shots. It is a great start and the guys do need hair.

Hi Crescent are you refering to the modell or the texture. Just so I know where the problems are!

The hair line across the front (where the hair meets mike's forehead) looks uneven. What do think is causing that? Is it a geometry problem with the hair or Michael?

Mwa, I got the prop loaded into my computer and have already started playing with it a bit. The texture map is a little confusing -- I cant quite tell what those pieces are across the top, but the rest should work pretty easily. Its a pretty decently made hair prop, incidently. Ill have some images loaded tomorrow.

Okay, a few preliminaries. I dumped in a simple hair texture, no transmaps, because I have a few questions. The pieces on the sides of the head: whats the look youre going for there? I can see how the front ones will work once the transmap is in place, but the side ones have me completely at a loss.

And another. Note also: this is setting it for my default P4 guy. I know its for Michael, but this is just to see how well itll fit on the P4. The dial settings are a good fit, but note how much I had to shrink it down!

Ok VirtualSite looks good so far, to your question: all the small parts of modell is for making it more realistic but they vill need transmaps with alot of black so that they only adds some strains that stand out a little from the modell. I hope this could help the modell to look less like a lump of clay put on the head. I might have to add some more don't know, let me know what you think. But so far I think it's looks realy good, So with a good trans map we might have a working modell.
