Just clicked on the wrong button and restarted a 6 out 8 day render. Never saved it part way through, dropped down to 1024x now. Did i mention im severly pissed.

OOOOOOOOOOUUUUUCCCCCCCHHHHHHHH! How's that? ;-) I always do a save before I start a render. On a long render I may stop the render in the middle and do another save, then hit resume render. Try putting little "post-it" notes around your screen that say "SAVE ME!", maybe that will help remind you, hehe. Better luck next time.

yep, last night i was saying to myself, i should save it at this point. But it takes 15 mins to save. This morning i clicked on the remote access screen (as its rendering in another building) and musta stopped it. Half asleep i click the big render, not the continue one hehe. So much pain, at 1024x looks like sunday morning ill get the finished product.

I do feel your pain--I really do-- but you do have to admit, you weren't quite the geniusit not saving it at least once in the interim. Look at the bright side--it is a mistake you will NEVER NEVER NEVER make again.

Dont acuse me of not being stupid enough to make the same mistake twice cause i ummmm am. why im rendering the 3 day render as we speak with no save hehe.
