I've been busy! :) Posette is wearing Serge Marc's eveing dress but has a new Mardi gras texture. I've modelled a mask for her, - and she has a jester on a stick. There are beads and dublones in the making. And even the dork will get some fancy stuff. He thinks he can pose as harlequin. Of course it means that he will have to wear a full face mask *g*. I've modelled a jester hat for him, - and some ruffles for his neck. What he'll wear on the rest of the body, I dunno. Anybody interested?? I'm too tired to finish - and upload tonight, - but I'll do it in the morning. In the mean time, I'm happy to hear +'s and -'s :) Britt

Her mask needs more glittery stuff, or feathers, or fake jewels, something. The costume is too fancy and ruffley to get by in a plain black domino mask. It's a great idea. I like the thought of Dork as Harlequin, too. Carolly

Mardi Gras is a huge celebration in New Orleans every year, just before Lent. It's notable for it's rowdiness, debuchery, drunkedness, and great music/costumes of the active paticipents. It is also infamous for the practice of young women there to "earn" cheap bead necklaces by flashing people.

Yep definately sounds like notting hill. trouble is we get problems there (guys with knives) which quite spoils the whole thing. The costumes and parades are just great. Its sort of run by the afro-caribean community, but attracts everyone cos its so colourful and fun.
