Rule #1:
Never buy a new version of anything until all the bugs have been ironed out, unless you like being a beta tester.

Rule #2:
Use nvidia graphics cards.

My contest entry:
eXtreme Panic

My entry: eXtremely Pleasant. I've been using XP Pro since it came out and haven't had to reboot once. No problems, everything works--for the first time since I started messing with computers (Commodore 64). I'm not much of a gamer, though. The only one I play is Worms World Party (the greatest game ever made...in any genre), and it's 2d.

When you upgrade from one OS to another you're bound to have problems. Buy a new comp with XP and it's very nice indeed.

I've used Windows XP since Release Candidates 1 & 2. I have a pretty basic "home-made" computer with a lowly on-board graphics chip. I've had no problems with Windows XP. Of course I knew enough to look for Windows XP updates as soon as it was installed. Ron

Suppose what we call "evidence' (the things we believe to be true) is only what we see because it is the only thing we know to look for?

The company i'm working installed XP an all machines during Holiday Season. The biggest problem they got was that some older hardware like cheap scanners wont run while there's no driver available for XP. Since then no problem at all, and it's really fast and stable. I'm really not a Microsoft friend, because i worked for a long time at home with NT, just because i had known most of the bugs was eliminated. Then i bough a new comp with Windows98 on it and was to lame to install NT on it. Believe me, i had more then once thinked i was really dumb and a big idiot. Now as i had worked one month with XP, i decided to change to this OS in maybee middle of year. The points for this where the speed, stability and handyness. And hey, all who had a newer CD-Burner from HP should take a look onto the HP-Site. They had some cool Burning-Tools there. Now you can use a ordinary CD-R as a second harddisk and wait to the date it's full for the end-burning.
