Goldfire, I got into this thread late, but it seems you got your answer. Interesting... I'd thought the trans was at 0. I'll have to make note of that. Glad you like the trees. I've got a few more paks coming out from the initial CD compilation, and then off to create some new ones. I'll look forward to seeing those textures. In the meantime, if you need a home for them, I'd be happy to add them to the Virtual Forest homepage, with full credits to you. Liteluvr
Lyrra, I manage the University of California at Irvine Arboretum in Orange County, California (where Disneyland is). We work a lot with preservation of endagered species. We have 13 acres of outdoor display grounds - we work with plants from South Africa, Baja California and southern CA. Lots of succulents, especially aloe species; wild type bulbs; perennials, and plant groupings from the channel islands off california, the california costal strip, and the mountains of southern CA. Liteluvr, your trees are beautiful, and I'll take you up on that! I have about 10 textures ready including a couple textures for 'fantasy' trees that our fairy-loving friends might like - did you know that when you invert green leaves in photoshop they turn lavender? Discovered that when I was doing the 'inverts' to make the transmaps. Just wait till I go over to the main UCI campus with my digital camera - the center of the campus is a 20 acre park full of trees! UCI's founding chancellor was an agriculture/soil science guy who loved trees. I'm also going to try and get some more bark textures.
... why "raise" her. It appears that she is sitting in tall grass. One of the things I don't like about many renderings is that Poser people almost always look like they are sitting (standing) on a hard surface, which , in the real world, they are not necessarily doing. [ok, I'll wait a minute while you unravel that last sentence ... sorry ... it just came out that way.] IOW - It looks good the way it is. IMVHO! cheers, dr geep ;=]
Remember ... "With Poser, all things are possible, and poseable!"
cheers,
dr geep ... :o]
