Subject: Why, Oh why....?

Why does Poser always seem to do something weird after you have work on something for hours? Why does your best ideas occur at 3:00am? Why does something that you did at 3am, that is the best thing you have ever done, look like crap at 12 noon? Why do you always want to make just one more Poser figure change? Why does.... Been asking myself those questions all weekend. Got an idea and had to go with it. I have completed something like 200 panels for a comic idea that I had. Actually I am kind of pleased with it. Still have to do the post work on the panels, adding text and such, but still they aren't bad I think.

They are probably great, you have been looking at it too long that is all. We will love it I am sure. Sharen

Suppose what we call "evidence' (the things we believe to be true) is only what we see because it is the only thing we know to look for?

Good heavens no, not just you, steveshanks, and it's not just Poser either. Why, I've done three postgraduate degrees now (B.A, M.Phil, Ph.D now aren't I just so gosh-durned special!), and I can say with some confidence that I almost never did anything of any worth before 3:00 unless it was 11:00 am, and I had been up since then. And when does Appleworks decide to go all buggy? Wooooooooooo... Nah, the time before the wee hours is for sketching and taking notes!

I know the problem. Besides poser pics, I also have it with poetry and other writings. Here's what I do. Once I have finished my work, I put it aside and don't look at it for 2 weeks. After those 2 weeks I am able to judge my own work with a fresh view. This might not work for anyone (and you'll need some patience) but it works fine for me :)

You know, I do that too, with academic papers. It seems if I take myself away from it for a while not only am I better able to see the parts that aren't clear or are outright wrong, but I find more typos. Hmm. I guess it translates for all kinds of creative work.
