After the great welcome I got from you all after my first post, I feel encouraged to post something else ...

This was one of the first pictures I took with my digital camera - a bit corny I know, but the flowers just happened to be there :-)
The initial picture was an uncompressed jpg at 1280x960 pixels, then resized, sharpened and border added in PSpro.

This evening I've been messing around with filters and layers and saved 4 different versions (thumbnails in next post) - I have 824x624 files saved to disk, but it seemed a bit excessive to post them all! Tina

The lower left image is pretty cool. I think you should have clicked the nudity box for the original image. Just kidding. =;-) > Bsteph

Nice stuff indeed....but you deserve to be spanked for using a flash ! Shame about the strong highlights..... Okay, just teasing...love the photos. =) The awesome sharpness deserves a lot of credit. Well done! About the lighting, grab some tin or gold foil somewhere, fool around with it until it's all wrinkled and have someone else light the flowers with the foil, from the side, from below, etc...they'll make the flowers look ever better! Love to see more, keep them coming please =)

Thanks very much for all your replies :-) It seems the top left was the favourite so I've posted the bigger version of that in the galleries. Rork - I'm very willing to learn more about lighting etc, having always had a strictly ameteur approach to photography in the past and become very lazy about setting up shots properly - so thank you for the tips.
