A torture chamber or dungeon. Or some kind of building with balcony views would be nice..

I dunno... I'm leaning more towards modern and sci-fi meself, with the exception of perhaps a couple of Victorian Era relics, like the Titanic scenes I've been meaning to build. Still, I want to hold off on that until I get better at what I'm doing in AC3D, hence sci-fi will prolly be what I'll focus on, unless something crops up (film reel), or I start playing around and the thing takes on a life of it's own (the bathtub ferinstance...) :) Cheers, /P

I have no idea how much demand there would be for this outside of my own, but I'd like to see a trailer or boarding-house. (That is, places where people living below upper-middle-class standards would live.)

Sci-fi! Sci-fi! Did I mention, sci-fi? Glowing computer displays, a captain's chair, and a grungy floor surrounding a big viewport window that a space lover like me could plop a nice public domain NASA image into. Did I mention sci-fi? =)

I'd love to have a convenience store and grocery store. It doesn't need to be overly intricate. It would be nice to have the choice to add some components, but have them fall in place when I do. I'm trying to get my Marlin comic together. First I need to solve the crosstalk problem...That has me totally baffled. Then I need to have Marlin at the cash register, as a customer, paying for his purchases. Marlin wishes the cashiers a nice day, and they are obnoxious with him. The most intricate part could be the cash register area.. maybe with some "impulse item" racks nearby... Ron

Hey, Ron, if you ever decide that you do need overly-intricate, take a look at what xombi is working on.

I'm with bjbrown: would like to see working-class environments. Trailers, or 1950 tract houses as in Levittown, or old apartment interiors.

Yeah, I have to vote for more Science Fiction settings myself. Gee...I wonder why that is :)

So what is the deal with xombi?! This looks like 3DS stuff. It looks like he's fixated on stores?! I've been waiting a long time for one of his gallery images to load. And I have a cable modem! Ron

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Wed, 30 January 2002 at 4:33 PM

You must be having a bad cable day, Ron. The largest of xombi's store pics is 315 KB. I'm on cable, also, and it only took a few seconds to load. The attention to detail is fantastic, though. I can recognize most of the name-brand products on those shelves. I wonder how large the scene file would be if brought into Poser.

I like the idea of art deco. Some ultra modern archetecture would be really keen as well. Oh, and i have no idea what to call it, but the visual of moscow at the turn of the century (Not this, but last centuryS)- the kremlin and all the wonderful turnip and onion style minarets and the bright colours - and interior that matched that style would be wonderful.

Store interiors: grocery, clothing, drug store, etc.

i just thought of some other interiors from the movies blade runner and the fifth element, total eyecandy! you'd probably have to do some research on the net thru google but i'm sure you'll find plenty of pics.i remember one of the buildings in blade runner was a frank loyd wright design,i think it was the Innis-Brown house in L.A..even if you don't do them, check them out. i promise, you'll be glad you did.
