...I just don't feel identified in other forums, but not all my work has photography in it...I hope you like it.

Wait a sec. If you decide to post it here you HAVE to have a photo somewhere in the picture. That's just fair. BTW. Why is the earth exploding or is that the clowds blowing away? BTW-Interesting mixture of ideas and primitives. Bsteph

Very intresting piece. I agree with you in that this forum is just awesome. I'm working on some extreme beginner Poser work and I've found you have to either be a God at Poser or have a desire to anger members just to get a comment on poser images. Thank you photo forum for being emotionally functional hehe.

Now that you mention it Maygen, this is the first piece I make combining Bryce and poser, and I post it here beacuse I think this is the forum with the most sensitive artists, people that can be objective and less obsessed with the "alien worlds and monsters", this forum is a good tribute to the artists from PLANET EARTH. sorry if I posted this here, but as I said before, I just wanted to share it with the down to earth people of the photography forum.

I like the image. I don't really have an opinion about best place to post it, or where it will get the attention it deserves. I have found this forum to be extremely eclectic and encouraging; something which is sometimes missed in the other forums. That may be due to a number of factors. I also have found a few folks on the other forums with open minds and a willingness to share ideas, so do not give up entirely. From the "photographic" viewpoint, we can discuss here the classic balance to the composition, the defining of shapes by directional light, use of monochromatic color, blur to show motion. We can also discuss the "breaking" of traditional rules, (which here works very well), in the runner heading out of the frame. I've sometimes found it a valuable exercise to look at other media, like a painting, (or even harder, a sculpture), and imagine how to execute a photograph to make a similar statement. Ultimately the moderators and community set the theme for the forum. Thank you for sharing your work in any case.

Cool image, photo or not - I love the colors! (And just to make these guys happy, we'll pretend that's a photo of a big old Lifesaver candy there in the middle, LOL ;-P) And I agree about this forum - no matter what your skill level or your style, it's a very "safe" and welcoming place to be - even when there's "criticism", it's constructive and something you can learn from, not just a put-down or a write-off of what you're trying to do! :-)

This forum is a great place to be but I haven't found anyone who bites in the 2D forum & you could even drop in on our current colour discussion with this image if you felt like it, the colours in your image are very eloquent & we just hit the blues.... I think if you use 3D elements but don't actually render the whole piece it counts as 2D doesn't it?

So Alpha you are suggesting that PETIT photofraph a HUGE eye and add this image as a reflection into the iris or something. Interesting. Bsteph

LOL, I like what Misha said about looking at any image from the perspective of compostion, balance et al...and I agree that mpetit has achieved these aims to a great degree in this image. I like Alpha's idea of using this with a photograph. And I'm really happy people feel they can turn to the photography forum for advice and views on just about anything, that's how I first felt (and still do) when I initially popped my ugly head into the forum a few months ago... :-)>

Thank you all for your comments, I really worked hard on this one since it is now the opening image on my site. Alpha's idea sounds really interesting, I'm just trying to figure out how to do it without loosing the important parts on this image. If you want to see how the homepage came out, I'm adding a link. Thanks again
