Don*t know if you already have seen it, but Daz is announcing the release of the Millennium Baby.

I hope that the Mystery Model will not be that baby and - a mystery model is mysterious and nothing I already know, right?

God, I don't need a baby right now. I really could use the Millennium Girls and Boys. I want to illustrate a book of poetry, and they'd be great. But I know the Mystery Model won't be the Millennium Girls or Boys. It's something they're supposed to still be working on. Ron

Sure looks like a big improvement, but I'm hoping for a really adorable baby. Will be nice if the teeth are separate, so can set the visibility as needed. And darker-skinned texture with accurate shading to palms, etc, but MAT tint files are better than nothing. And an option for at least a bit of hair - my babies weren't born bald Maybe a tiny baby-sized transmapped toupe prop???

Hey Faeriegurl I love your little icon, its better than the baby.

Actually, I think the Millennium Baby is a huge improvement over the creature they call a baby that comes with Poser. This looks like a baby. I wish they would show more images of it, other than just that one lying on his back with his foot in the air. If there's others, where would I find them? At least he's cuter than the demon baby from Poser. Melanie

looks like "some" improvement to me, but not enough that I'd buy it....and I agree, all babies aren't bald.

ronknights ( ) posted Sat, 02 February 2002 at 12:15 PM

This may be a dumb statement, but that won't stop me, grin. When you buy Mike or Vicky, the hair comes separately.... So why not with a baby?!

shadowcat ( ) posted Sat, 02 February 2002 at 1:19 PM

I hope the freebie is the baby, cuz I want a cuter baby but I don't know if I want to buy one. And it probably won't come with any textures or hair. No big deal, byte me ok gave out 3 great baby textures that I can easily transfer over, and baby hair should be on the texture anyway.

I'm with you, Ron, I could also use the Millenium Girls and Boys - I have 2 images in mind where I will need kids. I also agree that this baby looks much better than Frankenstein's offspring in Poser. :) Yeah, it would be better with hair, but of course Vicky and Mike also come bald...

pendarian ( ) posted Sat, 02 February 2002 at 2:37 PM

Oh, I hope the mystery model is not the baby too...and if they are putting out a baby, I sure hope it's loaded with morphs or something, cuz I can see room for lots of improvement on the one they have a screen shot of. But I will give them that it does look better then the one that came with Poser. Just my .02 cents :) Pendy

At least this is a baby - even if the arms look wonky to me. The Poser thing can give you nightmares! There are some truly disturbing images in the Galleries that used the default Poser, "The Joys of Inbreeding," little monster.

Every time a new Millennium figure comes out, the forums are flooded with extremely negative comments about it. I remember just horrible insults about Vicki when she first came out, and even Michael had some pretty nasty pans from people. But after a while, everyone loves them. I think we really have to see more than just one image of a baby lying on his back, with his feet in the air. I wish they had shown a series of better images, from different angles. This image is not really a good one to judge the baby by. I'm willing to give him a chance before knocking him too much. One image doesn't really show him properly. Hey, DAZ, could we see some better pics of him so we can get a better idea of what he really looks like? Please, please, oh pretty please? Melanie (who was a pretty silly looking baby herself! :)

I agree, we need more screen shots to get a really good look :) Pendy

Crescent ( ) posted Sat, 02 February 2002 at 8:58 PM

Oh, I agree that the Mil Baby is far better than the default Poser one. To me, the arms look a bit off, but the overall model is much, much better!

melanie ( ) posted Sun, 03 February 2002 at 10:00 AM

Absolutely. I don't want to make any snap judgments from just a single shot that doesn't really show anything. I do think it's kind of cute that he/she has a couple of little teeth growing in (at least it looks like it to me). And as far as hair, none of the other Millennium figures (as someone pointed out above) have ever come complete with hair. They sell that separately. I would assume there will be various hair items for him/her. And someone out here in PoserLand will probably make some, anyway. Heck, the cartoon kids got hair, so why not the baby? Melanie
