Subject: Big hands for Mike?

Rocksteady says: does anyone know how to scale hands in poser without the fingers bases twisting into odd angles. I'm trying to make "comic book type" hands and Mike's hands are too small. Super heroes usually have large hands. It looks odd on comic characters to have huge muscles every where on their body...with tiny hands.

I see what you mean! I just tried tidying it up with the joint editor - not a quick fix but I think that is the way you need to go. Select a finger joint, open up the Joint editor (window menu) grab the centre point (cursor becomes a circle) and pull it around until the joint straightens out. That's your evening out the window - sorry!

A good way to do it: If you want the hands 10% larger Go to Body and set scale to 110% Select every individual group but hands and the digits. scale = 90.9% Mike is now back to 6 foot with larger hands. The value to unscale the non hands groups is the inverse 1/scale not 100 - amount scaled up.

heyas; you might look into using morphs to scale the hands and all the finger bits. if you use too much of a scale, though, the joints will behave a bit oddly (unless you re-joint them.) you could also try messing with the cr2 and giving the hands propagating scale, instead of scale. supposedly, this will scale the part and all its children. (not sure about the grandchildren.) this supposedly works on the head, to scale the eyes with the head. well, i've messed with propagating scale, and haven't had much luck, but it is a thought.

Ah ha! So this is why Body is propagating scale and not scale. I just scale eyes individually, I did not realize there was a provision for this. So that is what that means.
