I messed up the lighting, it's a bit too ambient, hardly any shadows...I may revisit it, but i'm terrible at lighting...need more practice. Post editing done in photoshop.

seems like it should be dirtier or have more stuff on the walls and around the room or something like that to seem more realistic. right now it seems more like it's in someone's house.

I think the problem isn't the dress up of the room it's that it's supposed to be an old picture and it's way to sharp. Add some noise or find a plugin that can degrade the image a little more. I've never met an old picture that didn't have some sort of issue with the aging of the paper or scratchs or something like that wrong with it.

I agree with tekchip, my first thought was it was a rendering of an old image. Dirty that bad boy up a little and you'll have it. Nice work BTW.
