I'm still trying to figure out how to color Posette's "souls"...thought there was only one per customer?

The person doing the modeling was probably another boomer - who was "taught" to spell using the Look-See method. Which means that they cannot spell, unless they have a photographic memory, or really gave a damn about memorizing the words - which is unlikely in someone who is math oriented enough to do the modeling to begin with. With Look-See, you cannot pronounce a word unless you have heard it. The names of science fiction characters are a nightmare.

Someone also didn't know the difference between the shoulder (joint) and the upper arm (segment). To be consistent why isn't the thigh called the hip? To be fair, my guess is that "upper arm" is two words and perhaps they needed the label to be one word only. Would someone have dinged them if they'd called it UpperArm? Or how about humerus?

geep ( ) posted Tue, 05 February 2002 at 3:26 PM

That is pretty humerus! [sic] Ha,ha,ha,! ;=]

heyas; there is an upperArm. in the horse model, anyway. don't confuse me... of course, since shoulder was taken for the upper arm, they had to name the shoulder 'collar' when they split it from the chest.
