As usual, just playing around with interesting object and atmospheres and lighting, and suddenly, a work in progress. Using Vue4.03 (not touching 4.05 yet). Volumetric atmosphere and lighting (hope I don't need transparent poser textures as scene grows). Going to put poser crew on ship, and add other details. Finally getting back to playing with Vue again. Greg

This is magnificant, just a beauty, I do love ships on the water. You did great. Sharen

A good feel to this, Greg! I like the way it seems I need to look up, up, up to see the sails; great camera angle! :)

Looks cool Greg, real nice ship you have there. I wouldn't recommend the 4.05 patch "just yet".... Although I gotta say, they did fix the volumetric/trans problem, which is cool, but even still, the only thing I ever saw a major problem with it the hair and eyelashes on Poser figures. You should be able to get away with some of that, because it seems that you can have volume lights near a Poser figure, just not necesarily pointing at them.

Neat pic. I really love the feel of it. The space and atmosphere are just right.

Outstanding sails and sun position! Good reminder to me to add some seam texture whenever I get around to a sail setup. Only thing that keeps it from fully feeling 1st person is the lens flare.

Added 3 poser figures, lanterns and some fill lighting. What happened to our ground fog? I can't seem to get any in the scene. Is there something I am missing? Greg

Wow Greg, the figures and the adjustments in the lighting really bring this to life! Well done! The ground fog is "finnicky" in v.4. There are some tips for working with it in the Annex Archive Tips Collection.

Great ! Maybe add some weak light at the foreground of the scene (in order to slightly illuminate the side of the ship)? Yves
