I had two versions of this going and I couldn't decide wich one I like best, so here's both of 'em. No alpha planes though. Sorry, my bad. ;) I don't know how close they are to the Hudson River School, but that's a tough act to follow. Rich

I like em both mate,but i think the second one has more defanition in terms of light,and colour. Nice work mate well done!

The second one makes me feel more like I'm actually there. And wow, what an awesome place to be! Nicely done, Rich, and no points off for spelling so don't worry! ;D

Hey Rich, this is really nice... I would go with the first, I think that the colors are richer, the clouds on the left are very nice and it has a more magical look.. The second one, I think, looks too washed out color wise..

I have to agree with tradivoro on this one. The colors on the first one are warm and rich just like I like them...and it makes that image so much more captivating in my opinion. Good job on both images! Marvilla

I like the second one best. But the sky in the first one has a nice "painterly" feel to it. Nice work.

I would agree. They're both cool, really, but in different ways. The 2nd one looks more "real" where the 1st one looks more "fantasy", if that makes any sense. Good job, Rich! Just in case y'all haven't yet anoticed, the Annex has been updated with the January thumbnails, and the links. Thanks to Varian for kickin' me in the butt to get it done. :P And of course for all the help!

And a great job, Mike! I hadn't realized we already had so many entries. Wow, they look good! I love this Hudson River School challenge, and I think it's encouraged some really excellent work from everyone! :)
