I know you are all open to any and all questions and are the fastest repliers (is that a word) on renderosity. I will be upgrading to win2k soon and I was wondering for those of you who use these programs if you know...if there are compatibly with the upgrade? Animation Master 2000 Vue 2 well any Vue because I plan on upgrading soon Poser 3 Bryce 4 Strata 3D Pro Spiralizer Matisse Serif Photoplus Dogwaffle Those are the basic ones I'm worried about. Thanks everyone and HI! Long time no see! Oh and in case you are wondering why I am upgrading ELECTRIC IMAGE UNIVERSE 4:) Thats why! I'm moving up in the world! Actually I'm getting the DV toolkit and then Universe 4. I've looked around a lot and played with a lot and the latest Universe 4 seems to be the best balance of functionality, quality, and speed. Though I will say, I keep coming back to the simplest tools and the cheapest..some of them free in fact. Like spiralizer and the vue2 I got for free...nothing like a quick background in Vue:) cheers, Brian Cheers, Brian

Hi Brian, Hi Brian, There shouldn't be any problems... I'm running win2K and all softwares for win95 or win98 work fine on it. Only very old programs are not compatible. Once in a while you will get "this program is not compatible with Windows NT" (2K is a version of NT), but not with POSER, BRYCE, STRATA or VUE. Eric

Actually, Vue 2 won't work with Win2k. I know for sure that Bryce and Dogwaffle will though.

Yep, Rich is right. Vue v.3.1 was the first Vue made to be compatible with Win2K, so you might want to consider upgrading. You get Mover built-in, non-shadowing lights, some additional material elements, the torus, better imports... :)

Thanks guys! I might just upgrade. I'm going to have to try to demo Vue3.1 again and see what I think, though if I upgrade...I think I'd rather go straight to Vue4. Cheers, Brian
