It is art if you feel it is, I have this theory that I aply to my life all the time, I can see things (any thing) as art if I want to, that way I don't have to wait for someone to tell me and I enjoy almost all the material things that surround me... remember Duchamp and the dadaists.

I like the third one. [I think I may need to finally take the time to adjust the gamma on my monitor (again). I half-fast adjusted it several years ago, and it has seemed to work pretty well; agreeing with my printer and most things viewed on 'osity. However, PC's #3 above and the unmodified fencepost a couple days ago, looked perfect on my monitor, but Alpha's above looks way dark, (and the Photoshopped fencepost looked too dark). Everything in the shadows is getting lost. Folks have also pointed out to me some dust specks on my uploaded images, which didn't show up on my monitor at all unless I cranked the curves in PS way up.]

Alpha that's cool, I like what you did there! Don't tell me I'll try and work it out myself! Thanks mpetit, I think your theory is wonderful, and I try and approach life like that myself. BTW I love Duchamp and his works, I have a few books on him here at home...Michelle, Misha, thankyou...get that Gamma inline Misha - you can't let the Gamma get the upper hand! (several years ago?? I've heard it said that it should be adjusted every month..not that I've done it for 6 months now..LOL) ;-)>

Third one is my favourite too... but I do like the Alpha mods :) Guess my gamma is ok.

I like all of these, the first has some nice subtle texture to it & the second has an interesting smooth but textured look (if that makes sense!!) Alpha your example is a great lesson in seeing how reflected light destroys texture.

Oh no! I knew the famous rust hunter would give us all a run for our money this month hehe. Nice shots PC. I sort of like the 3rd one too. No real definable reason it just jumps out at me more.

Cameron, I just LOVE your rust images, and these are sending joy to my stomach, textures can give a very physical sensation in my body. More, more.....
