I was looking through the tutorials regarding MAT files. They all talk about cr2's This may be a dumb question, but can you do the same thing with a multi part prop? It seems I should be able to, but with all the parts I became confused how to put it together properly. Could someone explain please exactly what must be with each part, what gets deleted, and what the format should look like? Thanks!

A prop needs to be parented to a figure before making the mat file. Unfortunantly Though I am working on a solution for that which my husband gave me the idea for . If your multipart prop is a figure you should have no problems but if it's just a prop then you have to parent it to a figure

Would it work with any object that has a geometry file? ie,if I parented it to an invisable figure?

Might but you would have to have detailed instructions on how to load the invisible figure

I just downloaded the new MatPoseEdit from freestuff and the ReadMe said you now can do Matpose files for props too with this version.

But I don't think that works for mac. Maybe if I could see how the files are written I could try to manually do it. You think they might make a mac version?

I don't know about Mac. Maybe you could ask the one who made the programm about a Macversion?
