You may find these links to these free or low priced 3D modeling programs helpful:-- Anim8or

I model in Truespace which may be within your budget. You may like to visit my site to see what that program can produce.

You should also checkout Wings3D, as well as Shapemagic;

Truespace is great, Some 3d magazines give you it ( ver 2.0 or 1.0) by free. I start in the 3d world in truespace 1.0 and it is a very intuitive aplication.

For modelling, I use AC3D to build the model itself in (in parts if need be), use Crossroads to convert 'em to .obj format, then Poser to assemble, scale, and complete the items. /P

I second Wings3D. It's Open Source, free, and easy to use. Just pick any modler you feel comfortable with interface wise and try making a simple prop to start with. If you have probelms you can always ask here or at one of the other forums. Be sure to look for .obj export capability, since .obj is the prefered import format for Poser. jon

I'm very grateful for the replies, I already have some of the mentioned programs, but how do you make e.g. people? And how do you import them in poser? Thanks in advance Crescendo design
