Hi, Things like this are real big in Japan, there's a bloke who has a site of the two dolls he has, (even if you can see the arm joins) and of course, his new "real doll" which apart from the a bit of weirdness around the ankle where the latex sems to be peeling slightly, you'd swear his photos were of a real woman, the man has a true gift for posing! :) As for the "mother" site, yeah, it's a real hoot, we discovered it years ago, (students can be real creative, surfing the weblogs can be an eductaion in itself :) later jb

I wondered if that was Posette. I gather the web site has been around for a while, so it would be a P3 version, no? But somehow it doesnt look quite Poser-ish.

I thikn the thing I found the most... hmm... intruiging on the site was the notice about the film using five apparently-real-in-every-sense women and a REALDOLL male figure. Now that boggles the mind... =) Well, if you have enough money, I guess you can splurge it on nonsense like this, and there's always gonna be someone to take it off your hands.

Wow! They finally got male ones!! Yeah, I checked out Real Dolls over a year ago. But what if you're not turned on by Gary Sinise??? I lived in Japan for two years, I always found it odd that I could walk into the Japanes eqivalent of Barnes & Noble, anf find all sorts of books with naked children in them, yet if you found an American copy of Playboy for sale the pubic hair was inked out or scratched out.

Hehe, next year those things come with BVH support. :P

The Japanese adopted the "no pubic hair" thing from the US during the occupation years and haven't stopped using it.

Storm, Just to set the records straight. there is a legal age limit in Japan. Quite younger than the U.S. but it is there. It's about 16. Spent a little time over there and am also married to one.

Maybe I am getting mixed up with the free and easy depiction of child porn/image stuff there. Could have sworn there was something about no legal age of consent, it might have been for images. Aaaargh too many late nights!

The Japanese are pretty tolerant about viewing or depicting things that are sexually taboo to the rest of the world. However, they really draw the line between depicting someting "forbidden" and actually acting on that type of impulse. In the early 70's a friend went to visit a US serviceman who was being held in a Japanese prison. No cable TV or weight rooms there. It was an immaculately well kept place, however the prisoners NEVER forget that they are in prison and that they have done something wrong.

Hi, The "no pubic hair" thing isn't something they adpoted from the US, it was enforced upon them by the US, as part of the "MacArthur plan" that followed thier defeat in the second world war. (not unlike the "Marshall plan" that covered the defeated Axis powers in Europe.) Until that point they had been ruled by the "divine right" of the absolute monarch, and living deity, Emperor Hirohito. "Those who fail to learn the lessons of history..." etc. :) Why they chose not to break "the rules" is I guess something you'd have to ask the Japanese government/people. But they seem to have folded it's restrictions into their world view and continued on regardless, more power to them :) later jb
