Anyone have a tried and true formula for "water" with waves?

Do you mean a formula for the actual model or for the texture? That's something that shouldn't be really painful but I don't know how to do it and get it to be random enough to work. I'll work on it when I have some time. New ideas and projects have been exploding in my mind for the last six weeks and they have to get out or I'm going to burst. -Kix

Texture - I never seem to get decent results with shader settings.

Have you seen my tutorial that is about texturing a sea ? I explain how to use the Water:Waves function efficiently (i least i hope so ;)
