Ok now I'm really having a great time with me freebee copy of poser, but now and again i download a file and in the zip is a small unknown file. What the hell is a .phi file and what or where do I put them?

Its the hierarchy file used in creating the figure. You most likely do not need it, probably included just for information. Open it in notepad and you will see it is no more than a text file very similar to that old song, "my thigh bone's connected to my knee bone....."

I include .phi files with any non-organic freebie I make into a .cr2... in keeping with my philosophy of open-source. Although... if it's mine, check the readme file - all of the filenames and their purpose are listed and explained there :) /P

.phi = Poser Hierarchy Index??? .phi = Poser Hierarchy Information??? The phi has the "parent/child" relationships.

Remember ... "With Poser, all things are possible, and poseable!"

cheers,

dr geep ... :o]

I found one on Sams3D... forgot the actual link, tho' - sorry. I include it in case folks want to remake a .cr2... that way, it shows them exactly ow I got around certain obstacles, and how everything is arranged, in case they want to change any of it. /P

Thank you. I've always wondered about this, too. :) Melanie
