Candle Holder 02 - 3 tea hanging tea candle holders. Each glass cup can be shaded differently.

I was hoping to get some feedback on this one and the one I posted prior to this as I am just starting out in this arena.

I hope you can use it.

Hi there, they look neat :) What style are they designed from? Is it contemporary or some old era? Or designed off the top of your head? Thanks for sharing them. :)

Actually, they are 2 candle holders I have in the house. I started by making a plate and then mapping it, shading it, etc and then moved up from there. The first candle holder (rainbow) was the first piece I had to use multiple modelers for (Vertex and spline) and my first one where I learned to name and set shaders for every item that I wanted to. The second one was more difficult because I had to work with sweep paths for the framing (as opposed to the simple curves of the first one). I learned a lot in making the second one (and that Cararra has some serious bugs too) but it was a good experience. Now I am going to move on to something more complex with a possibility of adding a 3rd modeller type. Thanks for the response =) J.Dexter

A nice one for solids is the "box modelling" technique at anim8or.com - how they made the egg-plant model. Very easy and so effective! You sound like you're enjoying that modelling! That's great - there can never be enough new meshes around here :)
