Working on a new set of textures/trans for Anton's VCFS ands would like to get som feedback on it. Specifically the color of the gold - does it need to be darker? Greener? It just looks a bit off to me.

It seems a bit yellow... it looks good though. Are you going for a metallic gold look? Or just a gold color? I'm not sure exactly how to adjust it for a more metallic look though... refl. map? But I think that will ruin the transmapping...

I agree with Cin- (jeez wot a surrpise!) Maybe a tad more orange tint to it? I think it looks nice as is.

I'd like it to look a little more metallic and you're right, I can't use a reflection map because I'm using a transmap.

This is so beautiful. The only thing that looks off is the gold color on the boots compared to the suit.

Made some changes. Better? Worse?

You can use reflection maps with transmaps. If you're concerned about reflections showing up on transparent parts, make certain that the texture on those areas is pure black. Reflections won't appear on black areas, even if they're transparent.

Much better on the loincloth and top... but I think the boots may be too dark now...

Me, myself, love the way the boots are. The whole outfit is stunning

They're both georgeous, but I think the second one looks more metallic, makes me wish I had the fantasy suit :)

I'd take the top and loin cloth from #1 and the boots from #2, and shift the colour on both so they're slightly bluer, just slightly. This is, all around, too orange: it should be shoved more in a cooler direction than a warmer. Beaten gold is actually white with "gold" highlights; what you have is pretty much the other way around.

I think I'm getting close now. Anyone want to beta-test this for me? I hope to have it done late Monday. There will be 5-6 texture variations (ruby and gold, silver and sapphire, copper and emerald, etc.) Oh and matching textures for the VCFS2 too.

hey Diao, I don't have vcfs but my feedback is that i like how you've desaturated the gold, but i'd like to see the saturation on the red a bit higher, a little darker and redder? just to compare.

I agree, the red now needs to be richer then it is right now. It looks faded ;)
