Subject: Poser for always forgets were its default files are

What I mean is. I open P4 then I want to open a PZ3 file. Instead of defulting to C:Program FilesMetacreationsPoser 4, or even my PZ3 folder it most of the time opens the "my documents folder. In the same session one minute it knows the folder to look in and the next it goes to my documents. Every single time I want to add a morph target in the the same session to the same figure it opens up the my document folder never remembering the folder from which my morphs derive. I've tried reinstalling it several times. But still nothing. Can someone tell me the lines that need to be present in the registry for Posers brain to work? Pete

It sure does suck...I wish Poser was open source so someone could patch this up. -Darth_Logice

pjanak- I bet your using Windows 98! I've got Poser 4 running on both 98 and 95 on my machine, the 98 one always goes to the stinking documents folder, while 95 (mostly) goes to the right places. Repeat after me- "Curse you, Bill Gates"!

You are correct it is win98 and Curse metacreations for not offering a fix. The more I think about it the more I realize that Metacreations is nothing more than a shit company acting like a boy in a mans 3d world. OKay that remark shows I'm acting childish too but they just piss me off with there poorly designed programs

Yup, and yet I can't think of anywhere else I've spent 200 bucks and had more fun.

The only fix I know is to put a shortcut in your "My Documents" folder to whatever folders you want to use.
