A detail from the large, full-rez version.

I have to admire you for the ability to create these "series of renders" on these different topics. It takes a lot of talent, ingenuity, and a warped sense of humor. Ron

LOL, Bunny with helmet in temple. ;)

pj-bear ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 12:49 PM

I think this is really cute, and very well done.

Puntomaus ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 1:28 PM

Oh no, how cute. What a great image.

chohole ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 1:38 PM

I don't know about Dr Legume, but for me "cute is a bit damming. I hate it when people say cute, and leave it at that. I am sure he wasn't thinking cute when he drew this, there has got to be a much deeper meaning, we just gotta find it. It may be cute but...............?

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 1:48 PM

Isn't the sword redundant? I've seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail (repeatedly); I know what those incisors can do. Where'd you get the armadillo?

Puntomaus ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 1:50 PM

I think cute is ok. There is a bunny in a nice green short or Loincloth or whatever on an armadillo - something we don't see often and the only word I thought of was cute. But who will understand so I leave it to simply cute. ;-)

MadYuri ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 2:00 PM

@Puntomaus I did understand it. And you are sooo right. ;D

pj-bear ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 2:10 PM

Sorry to be unclear chohole, I meant cute in the sense of very ingenious and clever imagry. "Ah-hah" cute. I was just zipping through and don't know the artist and have no way of knowing if he has anything deeper in mind. But for me personally there was a deeper meaning! So many of us bunnies see ourselves as being pretty fierce crusaders, but really we are ridiculously impotent and pretentious if you stop to think about it. We can do a lot of damage when we posture and slash out, but often we are too shortsighted and self-absorbed to do much lasting good. Thus I react "ah-hah" even if I have no idea what the artist intended, because the creation charmed me personally.

Scarab ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 2:17 PM

Hey....where DID you get the armadillo? Scarab<-"enquiring minds wanna know...."

kayjay97 ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 2:23 PM

Mosca ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 3:15 PM

This is a mockery of a mockery. It's offensive to all of the REAL artists here. Yeah, where'd you get the armadillo?

shadowcat ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 5:05 PM

Mockery? Offensive to "real" artists? Please by all means give us your definition of "real" artist? Here's mine: The artist spends his/her time to create an image and there is meaning to the work. People here look at the image and react, even if it is only a smile or thought. I think Legume qualifies.

Mosca ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 5:15 PM

Legume is an embarrassment to Renderosity: his work is a sad, adolescent attempt to parody the many fine artists who post here. For me, art is anything that would look cool airbrushed onto the side of my 1975 Chevy Van. I ask you, in all seriousness: would Mr. Fluffers look good on the side of a Chevy Van? What is WRONG with you people?

shadowcat ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 5:39 PM

airbushed on the side of a van? so I guess sculpture isn't art? Maybe I'm being a little over sensetive here, this isn't my image. but let's get a little real here. True art is not limited to naked women! What I find hard to swallow is that too many people see it that way. And they seem to think that everyone should agree with them, if not then they must be idiots. Well I disagree, and I am not an idiot. I'll end this with a quote from Mosca that he/she sould think about before insulting someone else's work. "that's the beauty of art--everyone interprets it their own way" - Mosca's comment in gallery

Mosca ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 5:48 PM

"so I guess sculpture isn't art?" Ad Reinhardt said: "sculpture is something you trip over when you're stepping back to look at your painting." "and I am not an idiot." Well that's good to know. It's no fun teasing an idiot. (vigorously yanking shadowcat's tail...)

<----whistlin' "the happy hack" song, here.... and, and, and.... WHERE'D YA GET THAT ARMADILLO?????? Pop...Pop...Poppi!!!

Mosca ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 8:00 PM

Is it an armadillo or an aardvark?

kbade ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 8:13 PM

When I saw the title, I was sorta hoping it would be in a sepia tone, the way the old mag was... BTW, not just Anya...Jimmy Carter, too!

namja1955 ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 9:03 PM

MOSCA - as to people questioning your interpretation of art, people around here often seem to miss the subtle nature of satire. A fact, by the way, which the good Dr. if often laboring under...

BladeWolf ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 9:50 PM

And some are just to ignorant and blind to see it Namja. Mosca being one of them.

sleuth ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 10:37 PM

That's a direct personal attack, Blade Wolf. Clear violation of the TOS.

BladeWolf ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 11:00 PM

Like his comments aren't a clear and direct attack against Legume.

Mosca ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 11:11 PM

Legume! Pah! I spit on Legume! He's a cancer on the community! A self-aggrandizing priest of atheist subversion! I despise everything he stands for--especially these supposedly humorous bunnies! It's all a big joke, right? Everything's a big joke around here! Well, I ask you, Blade Wolf--is nothing sacred?

BladeWolf ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 11:45 PM

Apparently not in your ignorant way of viewing things. I for one am sick and tired of seeing a constant barrage of T&A work done in poser, along with bigotted commentary. Legume is an artist in his on right. He uses images to make many people laugh, and at least give them a lift in their emotions, and make fun of many of our fears. I ask you Mosca, do you really understand what art is? Besides the massive textures, and hard work that goes into a peice?
