I got a pic ready for the compo. Its uploaded at my page. I'm new to this so I don't know if this is the right way of getting the image in the compo. If im doing something wrong just yell out :)Cool, and thanks. :) Actually, you're generally supposed to enter either the new challenge thread OR a new thread, with a Subject Line of "My entry for the challenge", or something like that, and either include the pic or a link to where the pic is, just to make it obvious and easy to keep track of, but I forgot to mention that this time. But it's cool anyway, you did good. :)
Err...so if I just create a sphere from the Primitive selection in Vue, that will be ok as my object lol? I think its a bit unfair on us non-3d modellers, we aint got the knack or knowhow to make a "simple" 3D object, nor the right software. I've got Rhino3D but I haven't a clue how to use it ;)Yes I know there's a Rhino forum, but still...it has a big learning curve. What about importing a Poser character? Does that count as "making" your own object? :) JoeBlack

Klaus, your English is great. Here's a link to all the challenge info. :) Joe, the Vue primitives are perfect for creating new objects with. Stick the sphere onto a cube, and maybe tuck a cone in there and see what develops from it. :)This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. "Mystical Moment" Well, as you know, Marvilla won the January Challenge and has set the THeme for the February Challenge: "As for next month's theme I was thinking of having us work on an image with a mystical flavor, a touch of sorcery or wizardly feel to it that the viewer should pick up on just by looking at it. It could be an interior or exterior scene, that's up to the artist to choose. And as an added challenge I would like each one of the participating artists to make one model, no matter how simple or complex, and include it in the image. You can add more than one if you like, but the minimum is one 'home built' object. Let us know when you post your image which of the objects was the one you created. The theme title could be "Mystical Moment" as we should feel we captured 'a magical moment'as with a snapshot when looking at the images." ********************************************************************************************* The Theme So there it is: A "snapshot" of a mystical moment, and it would be best if you can include at least one 3D object you have made yourself in the image. It doesn't have to be made in Vue, and can be an imported object, as long is it's something you made. The Challenge Create your own "mystical" object in either Vue or any other 3D program. It is important to understand the difference between the Theme and the Challenge: The Theme is what we actually vote on at the end of the time period. The Challenge is an exercise of sorts...if you do not have time or can't think of an idea, but still wish to participate, the Challenge is there for you. :) The Challenge is supposed to help you learn something about....whatever..... In the case of this month however, the Theme and the Challenge are supposed to come together in one image. Sounds like a fun challenge! This one has already officially begun, and will end on Tuesday March 19. Have fun. :)
