Subject: scaling textures?

I've heard somebody talking about 'scaling textures', does this mean that you can make scenes bigger (zoomed in) without the textures getting wider/streched? If yes, How?

Here is a great tutorial on the deep texture editor. I'm new to Bryce and found it VERY helpful. http://users.pandora.be/walter.vandijck/DTEtutorial1.htm
