Yeah I'd love to see her face when you tell her you can't go out because you have to see a horse about a laptop and an aura..... LOL

Hiram ( ) posted Fri, 15 February 2002 at 5:25 PM

Let's see... Zydeco dance and potluck with a bunch of Freemasons and a huge pot of Jambalaya that I cooked last night, or the endless possibilities of auratic-equine-cyber something-or-other. What's a boy to do?

Niles ( ) posted Fri, 15 February 2002 at 5:57 PM

mmmm!!! Jambalya, ever thought of using a stand-in? I could fill in if you like :) niles

"OK, I'll check the list one more time!" Well, this was interesting. I didn't see any mention of size limits? Hope this is OK Thip's robe, Sharkey's wings, Lynne's Creations-Donkey,Wizard hair by Shadownet, Pillars by Thorneworks. The background was rendered in Vue. Thanks all!

Umm.. nothing really special about this one.. I was loading a horse, P4 man, Lap Top, and Aura.. and had to simply render what turned out.. seemed strange enough lol. My next post will have my second entry.. which has one or two more props.. and my own imagination ;)

"Ok.. this time YOU be the horse.. and I get to ride.." OK.. um.. this is the horse.. P4 man, aura, laptop, horse pose, and some clothing :) Sorry.. no "horse clothing morph" or anything.. just a bit of resizing.. and a strange imagination at 4:30AM :)

This is the Pose Rear1 applied to the P4Business man, as soon as I saw the result this had to be done. It must be the Aura that is making me think of the after life! Backdrop by Steve Shanks, freebie at Rosity;Truck by Baument. Somedays you just can't win! On the way to work one day!!

SQS ( ) posted Sat, 16 February 2002 at 8:14 AM

Well, Ron this is the only one I had on hand that fit the situation. Maybe next time I will be braver and have more time to search for something better. I'm just an amatuer and this is the first time I have used this backdrop! Actually, I quite like it Thanks for commenting!

This was fun.. used the foal object found here on Rendosity. P4 boy, and all the items.. And then GOD said "no son, I said put the man on the horse.." "Don't change my plans!!..."

SQS ( ) posted Sat, 16 February 2002 at 4:44 PM

Ron, no offence taken. Thanks

Had another idea that I couldn't resist doing ... although I REALLY wanted it to be a cow ... ;-)

Infinity Cove by RuntimeDNA; barn picture from Art Today; PRE-work (not postwork!) of rays done in Photoshop. And, of course, it IS a fictitious web site!

My second and final entry, because it was just plain old fun to do!

"How can I bill myself as THE SAINT when my partner moonlights when I am not looking" Tex on horse from pierran piaffe, with alterations by me. Village square from poserworld with texture alterations by me. Not certain if "The Saint" crossed the atlantic, but he used to be big in the UK

chohole ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 7:23 AM

Got it in one Ron, but he wasn't the proper James Bond, that was and always will be Sean Connery. Now he can stir my martini anytime.

VirtualSite ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 10:29 AM

Connery? Now, I happen to think Sean is especially hot, particularly in Outland, which is just one huge bearfest, but, as much in the minority as it will put me, Pierce Brosnan is my idea of a James Bond.

SQS ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 2:24 PM

Actually, I grew up with Sean as James Bond, but happen to think that Pierce, does an excellent job of carrying on the tradition!! Just a tiny bit more finesse. Hmm, how do you spell that ;LOL So that makes a minority of 2!

Content Advisory! This message contains nudity

file_273111.jpg

Okay, here's my two bits. Sky done in Bryce, imported as background picture; rendered horse, P4 skeleton and aura over it. Did a screenshot of Poser rendering the image; added that screenshot to the re-worked laptop texture as the screen; opened new scene with photo of my dining room table as background picture, rendered laptop with new texture and Vicki (new free Janjay texture from Eowyn) et viol I posted the image on the screen in the gallery if anyone wants a closer look.

Well, Daio, when it comes to these kinds of textures, there are few who can compare. Truth's truth, after all -- you can't screw around with the truth. =)

"Modern Magic" (aka MPP = Magic Palamino Pony) Straight poser render, used two horses, plain palamino texture on back half horse, and carousel palamino texture on the front half...modified texture on lap top and applied a transmap to screen and back side of it to get the screen effect...adjusted hue and sat on the aura texture and used transmap2...

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Tue, 19 February 2002 at 4:33 PM

Okay, I just had an idea for a new render. Not sure that I can post it here in the forum, though.

Hiram ( ) posted Tue, 19 February 2002 at 4:56 PM

Tease! (You can post a link though, right?)

VirtualSite ( ) posted Tue, 19 February 2002 at 7:27 PM

LD, if you think it might frighten the proverbial horses, you can give me a link somewhere else to see it. I mean, all the rules said was that it had to be in this thread, and a link's as good as an image, I suppose.

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Tue, 19 February 2002 at 11:01 PM

Nothing frightening or in violation of Renderosity's TOS. I won't say anything more; don't want to give anyone else the same idea. I'll provide a link if necessary.

Okay, this is not a slam of any computer manufactor just a spoof on one of their commercials. Dirty deeds done dirt cheap, one company sends in their top super secret agent to mastermind a sales-campaign-fiasco on their competitor.

VirtualSite ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2002 at 10:54 PM

Damn, what a lot of fun entries -- and anyone cruising through here, remember these are all without post work. Incredible stuff, gang -- keep 'em coming.

My final entry for the contest.

100% Poser, no postwork.

This was rendered as an animation, but I couldn't convert to GIF and squeeze it down to the forum's limit of 200KB without seriously compromising image quality. Therefore, the thread gets a high-resolution still-frame image, and you can see an animated GIF version in the Gallery.

For a limited time, interested parties can download the full animation in DivX AVI and MPEG formats with these links:
DivX AVI version (490KB)
MPEG version (733KB)

The DivX codec can be downloaded at www.divx.com.
