Way to go, Big Blue! Can't peek in, though...your cam just gives me "invalid bytecode" since it changed to auto-refresh. Probably a Java thing.

Yea - Its running a Java bsaed auto updater. Clint

I've just got mine running on a META tag page refresh. Of course, that refreshes the whole page though.

sirkrite ( ) posted Tue, 19 February 2002 at 3:31 PM

Clint, the java works great for IE 6.0 :) The Meta is good to, a bit slow at one refresh ever sixty secounds. ;) I'm used to NetMeeting at 30 frames a secound plus sound. :D I wish Optimum Online let us host our own web sites.

sirkrite, I'm just running it using the software that Creative shipped with the cam. The software only grabs a max of 1 frame every minute. Then I ftp it over to my Linux web server. I'll look around a bit too see what else I can find.

Thanks, I'll add that to the list. I've found several I'm going to look into. I'd love to stream it, but I've only got a 256kbit upstream DSL connection. :)

Web Cam 32 does streaming as well. I've used it for about 3 years now. Good stuff. :) Let me know what you end up with. Have a good one Russ. :) Clint

I see you got the refreah rate down to 15 secounds Russell. :) My Creative Video Blaster WebCam Go Plus doesn't have any software with it that allows pictures to be taken in time laps. Full video yes! Single pictures yes! Can undock it from the computer and take 200 single pictures or 15 secound of video. But not that.

I've got the little creative camera..Its not the Go version. Its the mid priced one...USB connection.. Does pretty well. Clint

Checked out the Web Cam 32, looks pretty good! Downloaded the demo, I want to see if I can set this up with a Netfirm free web site. :) I don't know how fast this will use up the bandwidth. If it works I'll buy it and maybe even go for the pay Netfirm website.
