I have been looking through the "World Builder" gallery and have visited the website and it kinda makes me wonder why that product cost $999.00 ?? Am I missing something besides the &700.00 difference? Because from what I can tell it looks like Vue 4 can produce just as good or better renderings! I guess I am just curious as to any major differences?? Hmmm....

I dunno...they have a "Standard" version which has fewer option sthan the "Pro" version or the "Complete", whatever they call it. It also imports Poser animations. And that's about all I know about it.....

..both apps have pros and cons. I think its easier to get nice looking results in Vue, espercially athmosphere/sky. but Worldbuilder has also some great advantages: - you can make custom plants, dont have to use the default library (although its not easy to make your own plants) -you can animate grass, plants trees, gently swaying in the wind or shaked by a storm -WB water is able to recognize objects swimming in it - and makes the waves! and some nice features more (scattering of objects and plants depending on the landscape for example) As you see, it is very powerful, but not as easy to use as Vue and even more unstable than Vue. I like both apps ;-) best, Walli P.S I made a little animation a while ago, most of the outdoor scenes are made with WB. It were my first steps with WB, so with some experience.... here is the link: http://www.ddd-world.de/videos/LarryLotter_divx411mp3.avi (its in DIVX 4 format)

walli, Cool animation! Thanks for sharing and for the insight on some of the differences.

Yeah thanks walli. I could have sworn I replied to this yesterday. Anyway, that is a pretty good animation, and it definitely does appear to "work". Thanks also for the info.
