Subject: Need figure showing internal musculature (without skin)

Dear Sir or Madame:

I own poser 4 and am interested in figures of both men and women showing musculoskeletal detail, without a skin cover. I also with to animate these figures. Any ideas where I can find something like this?

Thank you!

I don't think I've ever seen something like this, save as those "ghoul monster" textures, which I don't think is what you want. But with all the graphics out there of "the invisible body" and a texture map, it shouldn't be too difficult to put one together.

Oooooh. I'm going to watch for this one. I might even try it myself!

You aren't likely to find a fully built model that is *also* animatable in all possible joints. (You may find a non-animatable version, but it will be unbelievably costly, like hundreds of dollars!) What you can do yourself is focus closely on one or two muscles at a time, with just enough detail to show how this pair of antagonists works. The regular Poser skeleton figure moves nicely, and you can make most muscles from distorted Ball props. Some will need to be shaped in an external program like Amorphium. Just as an example, here's an animation I made quickly from a still image I had put together earlier. It needs improvement, but it illustrates that the task is possible IF you focus on just one joint at a time.

if your looking for something like this, mertext has a great male texture in the marketplace, I think a female version might be available as well.

I did a partial texture map for an image I worked on last year but I only needed the arms, legs and torso.

If that would do anyone any good I'd be happy to upload it to Freestuff.

Here's a small version of the image I did with a tiny copy of the texture map composited in front.
