Kate these are wonderful, thank you for your hard work...these are great. Sharen

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 4:39 AM

Now you know why I spend so much time at Home Depot, Sharen. =) Kate (who is thinking wood trim and panels if this package sells enough)

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 5:54 AM

Oh yes, I love wood textures, and I am surprised I haven't seen you at HomeDepot, Mike and I are there all the time....LOL Sharen

chohole ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 7:32 AM

These look very useful, and I agree with Sharen can't get enough wood textures. Always trying to make wood panelling. Don't have to worry at home, the other half is a woodsman.

Kate, those are great. So do you spend lots of time at Home Depot?! That's my wife's favorite store. Mine is OfficeMax, in the computer section. Or any store's computer section! Ron

Ron you sound like me and my hunny, only reversed....lol Marque

Yes, we get a kick out of our relationship. And here's a kicker: 1.) I'm a minister's son 2.) I'm a minister's husband My wife Dodi and I first knew each other as teenagers, and acted as ministers for the annual Youth Sunday church services for two years in our small town. We dreamt of becoming ministers at the time, and I quickly abandoned that idea. Dodi did that too, except she remembered that dream a few years ago, then acted upon it. Ron

Well, gee Ron, over the past couple of years, what with all the home improvements we've been doing, they call us by name now at the checkout and have offered hubby a job when he retires. g So, yeah, you'd have to say we spend a lot of time there. Hmm, Sharen, wasn't that you in the screendoors aisle last weekend? I coulda sworn that was you. giggle

Hey Kate, that's some good looking stuff ya got there. :)

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 3:25 PM

Thanks Mike, I think so too. Since they opened up the new Showcase forum, I think I'm going to ask Jeff or Scott to move this over there since it would be more appropriate. Oh, and for future reference, do you and Varian have a problem with me posting a quick little note (no images) in the Vue forum from time to time letting people know when I have something like this available and pointing them to the showcase forum for more information? Something along the lines of "Hey guys, I've got some new textures you might be interested in, pop over to the Showcase forum and have a look if you have a mind to." Would that be ok? Kate (who doesn't want to step on too many toes or cause a crossposting flap or anything)

MikeJ ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 3:30 PM

I don't have a problem with it at all, Kate, and I doubt the rest of the regulars would, either. :) But it probably would be best to do as you suggest and supply a link to the other forum. Mike (who can jump around fast enough to not get stepped on)

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Sun, 17 February 2002 at 3:32 PM

Ok, Mike, thanks. That's the whole idea - just a heads up and then the link. =) Kate

Excellent work Kate. I loved your last texture package and have had tons of fun using it. Your attention to details is outstanding. Great to see new items in the market place from you :)

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 20 February 2002 at 11:45 PM

Oh yeah, and hey Kate, you're still "family" in the Vue forum, so I don't see anything wrong with a little picture, as well. :)

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2002 at 3:02 AM

Thanks ladynimue, I'm so glad you're enjoying the last package. :) This one was the most fun for me so far. I'm hoping to have some renders of stuff using these texures soon. Just have to work out some bugs in my system (windows has gone on a dll munching binge the past few days sigh). Kate

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2002 at 3:03 AM

Thanks Mike. I just feel hesitant cuz I haven't been posting much lately over in the Vue forum. I've just been lurking a lot. :) Kate
