Nothing will work ,last days so I was reading some tuts and in one of Guitta Made in Vue 3 I persume, there was this picture. The question is where in Vue 4 can I find the object space function? please ? Myske

I assume this was the old way of handling UV mapping? If so it has been replaced by the pull-down menu in the top right-hand corner of the Material Editor. Ticking 'Object Space' above would presumabely be the same as setting this drop-down to 'Object - Standard'. It essentially means that the material is mapped relative to the object rather than world coordinates. Unless someone else know better? Hope this helps. K.

Don't know , in the manual (wich is difficult enough for me cause the language)is mentioned object standard and object space seperatly,But it does not tells me where to find it ;) Anyway thanks, I ll see if some more people says the same. regards Myske

In Vue 4, go to the material editor, up at the very right hand side on the top is your object space selections with a little pull down arrow. Sharen

Myske - when the manual talks about Object Space its sometimes means the coordinate system (Object/World) that is used when making a transformation (ie rotate, move, changing the size, etc) on that object. When you change an object in Object Space your changes are relative to the object's own axis but if you change it in World Space it is relative to the Worlds axis (ie coordinates 0,0,0). Sometimes these can lead to different results. But there's no control to switch between one or the other. Basically if you change an object using the Object Properties Numerics tab you are changing it using its own Object Space; but if you change it by dragging its control handles in one of the 3D views you are changing it using the World Space. Having said all that, the tickbox in your screen capture only applies to the material UV mapping of the object. Hope this post isn't too confusing!! K.

LOL Myske, while beta testing Vue 4, I needed 1 month to search and then had to ask e-on where the old "object space" was gone. For nativ english speaking people it is easy, but not for others to understand that object space and object standard means the same :-(. Vue 'Esprit is french, I'm french, but beta tests are in english. Guitta
