That is really nice. I am happy to see the longer neck an muzzel on ut, and the fur looks nice too. The only thing I would add is very fuzzy feet. You can barely see thier claws, if at all. The only visible nonwhite on them are thier eyes and thier nose. When they hunt seals the sometimes lay near an air hole with thier eyes slitted, and cover thier nose with thier paws. They will sometimes hunt humans the same way, as my fater found out.
If you saw the movie "the lion and the Wind" Teddy Roosevelt asked for a disecated Bear. The designer presented him a bear just like you presented it here, like a cow. Try model the bear standing and agressive. The texture looks OK, because fur is very complex. Probably scanning a photo of a polar bear will help. Working on it with photoshop or else (needs brillance) will help. Also the bear's face needs more accurate handling (jaw and the area between the eyes and the nose). Easy is to say it hard is to make it. Your work is good.

Very nice. Here's a small tip: One of the things I've often mused about when watching polar bears it that they so resemble giant, fluffy, stocky weasles. You may want to keep that in mind with respect to body proportions. They're not as round and short as we often tend to think bears are. There was a mounted polar bear in a museum in my home town; I was amazed at how incredibly tall it was!! Check out the link above for a good gallery of polar bear images (where you will also find, unfortunately, that the nose-covering hunting thing is a myth, and that in all probability they are actually just keeping their less-furry muzzles warm!). Hope this helps. Good luck! This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible.
