Subject: One head, more than one hair?

DocMatter ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2002 at 12:49 PM ยท edited Wed, 22 January 2025 at 12:21 AM

Is it possible to have two hair styles applied to the same head? I'm trying to animate one hairstyle morphing into another one. (I have all the morphing hairstyles, but still not getting the effect I want.) As usual, whenever a hairstyle is applied to a figure, it replaces the hair figure that's already there. I tried exporting one hair prop, deleting it, applying the other hair and then importing the original hair, but the imported hair looks very plastic. Any suggestions?

Could you save one hair as a smart prop? I'm assuming your export/import route is via an .obj file and you are losing the transparency settings.

I'll give that a shot and let you know. Thanks for the suggestion!

RHaseltine--- Thanks, it worked! But I had to save both hairs as smartprops. The hair always seems to replace anything that's attached to the head, even a smart prop. But with both as smart props, problem solved. Thanks again!

Yeah, all you gotta do is parent it and save it as a prop file instead. Then add away. I'm slicing and dicing right now.
