Oh, forgot to say, removed color, little contrast correction, sharpen and light blur, no other postwork. .n

Looks like the top of a nuclear reactor! Is it maybe a large brewing vat? Hiccup! ;-)>

Antoonio ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2002 at 9:06 AM

Nope and nope.

Is it a construction that carries the inner, highest ceiling of a church ? Probably not, cause the ones I've seen were less comlicated....but I do know that these ceilings aren't connected to the outer roof.

gunsan ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2002 at 2:34 PM

Has it anything to do with a ship?

devisualize ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2002 at 3:45 PM

I dimly remember visiting an observatory ages ago with a planetarium that was basically a parabolic cupola over a large audience hall. The construction on top to support the cupola looked quite similar. I don't see why anyone would want to kiss me up there, though :-) Anyway, I like the picture a lot... I'm a big fan of glass and steel constructions, anyway. They look so fragile.

JordyArt ( ) posted Thu, 21 February 2002 at 6:27 PM

It's a computerised image nicked from the CPU of the computer that created Monsters Inc - this is obviously a scene just before the doors were introduced... (",)

Antoonio ( ) posted Fri, 22 February 2002 at 12:55 AM

Michelle, Rork and Devisu was pretty close. That cupola in right side is consert halls roof. Those are acustic panels wich can be moved hydraulically. 20 meters below, there where girl playin sting and bumblebee with violin, alone. It was pretty unrealistic place. .n

I was thinking that it may be a set for an 'Alien' film... What an imagination I have, is it not so..? :) Beautiful photography anyway...

starshuffler ( ) posted Fri, 22 February 2002 at 4:00 AM

Haven't read through the posts yet, but I'd say this is some scaffolding of sorts for a stage? Like the back of a theater or something... This reminds me so much of my little theater acting days, hanging out at the backstage with all the dusty ropes and planks and unused props. (*

JordyArt ( ) posted Fri, 22 February 2002 at 4:07 AM

Thanks, Niko. You're right, the B&W is better. Wonder if anyone else ever sees the ghost?
