Hi all, This is my "Life Drinker" battle axe based on one used in D&D. The metals include tex maps, bump maps, and reflection maps to give it that authentic rusted metal look. Comment very welcome...

Very nice! The level of detail is extraordinary. NERD ALERT This would be inspired by the Reynolds illustration in the Third Edition Dungeon Master's Guide, correct? Marvelous job, if so. Will you include a morph to add nicks in the blades for that well-used look? If you're looking for a real challenge, try modelling that demon armor on page 182. END NERD ALERT

Indeed Little Dragon - page 189 to be exact :-) That demon armor on page 182 looks awesome, and a bit intimidating... maybe in the future. As for the nick in the blades - I plan to bring out a set of transparency maps that would give this exact effect. I will make those available in freestuff. This is a sad marketing ploy to get some of those people who download all the free things, but never buy stuff ;-> I have decided to sell it for $5...

Hey, nice modelling DW. Ever consider lending your considerable modelling talents to Mike? Mike needs clothes, too! =)

kieraw - I don't have Mike, but thanks for the nice comment... maybe soon ;-)
