Hi Dolly,

If I get it right you need to make 12 differents 360 panoramic images in full and landscape only mode ?

This is "maybe" an answer :

  1. create your scene with everything in it, but put all the buildings in a separate layer.

  2. in the render options window enable panoramic view and set it at 360. Select a high resolution (1600x500 or more) and render your image to disk as BMP or TIFF.

  3. to render the "landscape only" pictures : hide the layer with the buildings and select "render only visible layers" in the render options window. The scene will be rendered without the hidden layer.

Is that the answer you needed ?

"24 images on the theme atlantis"... What a fantastic commission !

Eric

Another way to do this, in keeping with the mythos of Atlantis, would be to do the second series of renders after re-texturing the buildings to match the ocean floor. It'd look like the buildings aren't there, just part of the ocean, but a comparative look at the two renders would show the "hidden" features. =) Don't forget to use world-space textures, so there aren't any telltale seams between objects.
