Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
Yes, thank you,I got both the program and the plugins and installed them. What I thought were pngs-- they were not showing up in Poser-- are probably corrupted files from a download. They bluescreened my puter twice just browsing them in P3DO. They are from the Vickie Essentials mappack and I just wrote DAZ about them. What I dont' understand are the files that DO show up in P3DO but not in Poser 4. Some are named improperly [P2z instead of Pz2] and I'm trying to rename some of them, don't know if that will work or not-- I've tried it before but it's easier in P3DO. Unless I'm totally round the bend and there Are P2z files???
You deserve those thanks for promoting P3dO, Ron. Thanks, sincerly ;)) Queri, .P2Z files are Poser Pro Pack compressed poses. These are regular Pose files they are compressed using a Zip utility integrated into PPP. I have read somewhere in the forum that you can Unzip them with Winzip but I don't know the Howto. You should post a thread for this and you' ll get replied. Those files are not supported by Poser 4 and though you just can't see them. I am interested in those files which blue screened your computer. Please, can you send me one at yarp@senosoft.com so that I can study it (just the .RSR or .PNG the Pose file is not necessary) and fix the bug. P3dO shouldn't crash like this.

"Queri, .P2Z files are Poser Pro Pack compressed poses. These are regular Pose files they are compressed using a Zip utility integrated into PPP." Thank you, I thought I was going crazy-- they're in Quim's Victor package which I don't think mentions ProPack only. They are called Pz2's in the ReadMe. I'll see about starting a thread on them tomorrow. When I have a brain again. Your program had no problem with those files at all. Read them beautifully. The files that bombed were the ProPack version of Vickie's essentials MapPack from Daz-- the darn exe didn't let me choose which to install. I thought, like every other mappack, the MATs would be in a separate folder, but they weren't. I'm so darn new. I know PPP means Pro Pack but I forgot. And fishing around in that mass of MAT files, I got confused. However, your program picked up every other Pro Pack item but got terminal on these. Basically, I'm trying to fend off senility by plunging into 3D which has always scared me. Then my 60th birthday will not be so scary. [I'm only partly joking, it has been a really good mental workout]
I confess that I'd pretty much forgotten about P3DO Explorer for awhile. Yep, the Rsr2Png gave P3dO some fresh air. I am happy that helps so much. Queri, It's a shame. If you don't want to buy PPP - as I can understand, try to ask DAZ for another item. There's few hope I believe.
