I was just going through some of my old stuff and have never used the Asia Mat files, always loaded it manually before. Has anyone else ever gotten this error? Curious Labs Poser: Poser.exe - No Disk There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive E:. Marque

sounds to me like someone made some poser addons that looks at a different drive letter....or.....you installed poser from your cdrom drive when it was drive letter E but now the letter has changed....either from a reload of windows...or adding more harddisk letters (thus forcing cdrom to move to a higher letter).

No, it's only that mat pack, there is no reason to re-install Poser as it normally never looks for the CD in the drive...at least it never has until now. Why would a mat pack look for the poser.exe file? I wish when people create products that they would be more careful and so create less work for the end user, and I'm not talking about free stuff. The Asia product was not cheap, thought it would be higher quality. The idea of the mats, or so I thought, was to lessen the load of finding the textures. Sorry if I sound ticked off, but I am disappointed in it. Crashing poser and losing what I was working on was not what I had planned when I started this project. Please, if you sell a product make sure it works properly before you release it. And realize that some of us use the Pro Pack, so find testers for that as well. Has anyone else ever had a mat file look for Poser.exe? Marque

Oh, and I have owned Poser since version 1.0, it has never looked for the CD, only looks for a copy running on your network. Marque

heh heh... I have used Poser since before it was called Poser....I still have the original version called Mannequin by Humancad....before Metacreations bought it and released Poser 1.0 (which I also have, along with version 2, version 3, and version 4 with patches). Mannequin only supported 16 colors...had no 3d export...and could only import DXF models.

Metacreations didn't get Poser until Version 3, Fractal Design had it from V1, V2.

Oh and Humancad and MQpro still exist.

lol, that's funny. They don't say how much it costs though, and that usually means they don't want to scare you off with the price. Marque

Yeah I think it goes for nearly a grand.

absolutely right, Jeff, my bad...was fractal designs...they also had the rights to Painter and the Tif format painter uses was specificaly utilized in Poser 1.

Marque: I have had this happen on several files from PoserWorld. To solve the problem I simply always keep a CD in my CD-ROM drive. =D Clunky, but it works.

This just started happening to me after I had transferred my files over from my old computer. I just keep hitting continue until the file loads. It is a nuisance, but the file will load properly. It is similar to the "This is a newer version than expected but Poser will attempt to read it anyway" experience.
